Things to do in Charlotte - Woman-owned businesses

Celebrating Women's History Month

Over the past two years, these business owners have opened their doors and hearts to me on more than one occasion. They provide top tier experiences. I always enjoy time spent with them and hope you enjoy these things to do in Charlotte too.

The Foodie School

Culinary Classes + Monthly Chef Competition

Enjoy cooking in a chef-led meal in a large group setting. This is perfect for a solo adventure or date night. Most classes are led by the owner Chef Mara with assistance from another chef. Multiple classes are offered throughout the week featuring cuisines from around the country and world. You can bring your own wine or beer. I also love attending and judging the monthly chef competition called SLICED! Tickets sell out fast for this event.

SLICED tickets and classes can be purchased on the Foodie School website.

Cocktails + Floral Bar + Content Studio

Coming Spring 2024!

Enjoy a "made for the girls" safe space with cute cocktails and small treats. Cocktail and floral design classes will be offered as well as a content studio. This is the newest venture from the city's beloved Robbie McNair-Guzman, owner of the former Goodlife at Enderly Park. She has the same amazing team, including brand manager Morgan Robinson and couture dessert stylist, Q'toure Treats. It's sure to be a success.

Bliss & Blends Wine Bingo

Wine Tasting

A fairly new concept by owner Selena - this is not your traditional bingo or wine tasting experience. It's a fun twist where you have to guess the wine and fill your bingo card with the corresponding name. Resident DJ, DJ Cruz Control, will keep you swaying and bopping while you put your taste skills to the test. This is the perfect activity for all genders and party sizes.

Tickets can be purchased on their website and do sell out fast.

Jewelry options include necklaces, bracelets and anklets in gold or silver. The process is super quick and easy and pricing varies. They also have items for sale from minority and female owned small businesses.
